Dr. Roma did her MBBS from Grant Medical college, Mumbai & MS General Surgery from MGMMC, Indore; one of the prestigious medical colleges in India. After this Dr. Roma moved to Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute, Lucknow to receive a structured training in the subject of Endocrine & Breast Cancer surgery. She was the first one to use continuous neuromonitoring in the entire north India in thyroid surgery.
Dr. Roma has extensive clinical, operative, scientific and academic experience in diseases of Endocrine Surgery and Breast Surgery having worked in Government, private & corporate hospitals over the past few years. She has vast experience in Thyroid, Parathyroid, Breast, Adrenal, Pancreatic & diabetic foot surgeries. Her clinical interests include thyroid, minimally invasive parathyroid surgery and oncoplastic breast surgery. She has been invited to deliver lectures in many national and international meetings. She has also received the best review article award from Indian Journal of Endocrinology and metabolism.
Dr. Roma is presently working as the Associate Director, Endocrine & Breast Surgery at Medanta Hospital, and nearby Multispecialty Hospitals. She has a keen interest in research and published several articles in national and international journals. She is also on the editorial board of WORLD JOURNAL OF ENDOCRINE SURGERY which is the official journal of Asian Association of Endocrine Surgeons. She has done her ISOPES Proctorship course : Robotic thyroidectomy Training at Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea. She also participates in public awareness and patient interaction through media.
